Parking

How does airport parking with transfer work?

Some commercial hosts near the airport drive you to the terminal after parking and pick you up when you return. Use the Airport with transfer filter to find them. Add the transfer when booking, with the number of people and ideally your flight number; you pay everything together through Sostivo. The host provides parking and the ride and is your contracting party. Sostivo only arranges the booking. Hosts confirm that they hold a passenger transport licence.

What is women's parking?

A space the host describes as lit, easy to see and with a short, lit path to the street or entrance (about 50 m at most, no dark passages). Use the Women's parking filter to find them. Anyone can book them. The details come from the host; Sostivo does not check them on site and gives no guarantee. If something is wrong, please report it through your booking.

How do I book a space?

Search for an address or place, pick a space on the map, enter the period and your licence plate and pay by card, on the iPhone also with Apple Pay. You will see the exact address and the way to the space after booking.

What does it cost?

For a booking of up to 30 days you pay the host's price plus a booking fee of 12 %, at least €0.79 and at most €2.29. The hourly price applies per started hour: 1.5 hours cost the same as 2, but never more than the daily price per 24 hours if the space has one. For a monthly rental you only pay the rent; the host pays for the introduction. The price shown is always the final price.

Can I cancel?

You can cancel a booking of up to 30 days in the app under Bookings before it starts. The rent is refunded in full, the booking fee stays; you see the amount before you confirm. Once it has started, cancelling is no longer possible. A monthly rental is not a booking: you give 28 days' notice to the end of a month. Whether you also have a right of withdrawal is stated in your contract.

How do I extend a booking?

Tap Extend in the running booking. If the space is still free afterwards, the extension is created as a booking of its own.

How do I get onto the space?

Access, the key box code and the directions appear in the booking from 30 minutes before the start. For a monthly rental you get access as soon as the first payment has arrived.

The space is occupied or there is a problem on site. What now?

Message the host through the booking and contact us via Help. Please do not park on someone else's space.

Where do I find my receipt?

For a booking of up to 30 days: in the app under Bookings, in the booking under Costs, as a PDF to share or save. For a monthly rental every payment is listed on the contract page, where you can also get the contract as a PDF.

Can I book with a foreign licence plate?

Yes. Choose the country of registration when you book, so the host sees for example “(F) AB 123 CD” and can recognise your car. In low-emission zones you need an emissions sticker like everyone else.

Renting out

Who is allowed to rent out a space?

Anyone who owns it or has permission. As a tenant you need your landlord's consent (section 540 German Civil Code); in a homeowners' association the house rules or resolutions may set limits. A permission template is offered while listing.

Do I have to pay tax?

Rental income belongs in your tax return. Whether and how much tax is due depends on your personal situation; Sostivo cannot assess that. If in doubt, ask a tax adviser or your tax office. Sostivo does not report income to the tax office and does not ask for your tax ID; you declare your income yourself. This is not tax advice.

What happens if something is damaged?

Sostivo does not offer its own damage insurance. Every booking has the licence plate, the period and the history on record. The rental agreement is between driver and host, and both settle any damage claims between themselves; Sostivo only brokers the booking. Please check whether your own insurance covers renting out.

What does Sostivo cost?

Listing is free, you only pay on success. Sostivo keeps a 3 % commission from every rent, Stripe pays out the rest. For a monthly rental there is also a one-off introduction fee in the first month of 25 % of the monthly rent, at most €60. Example with €90 monthly rent: you receive €64.80 in the first month and €87.30 every month after. Bookings of up to 30 days have no introduction fee; there the driver pays a small booking fee.

When do I get paid?

We transfer your share through Stripe: for short bookings (up to 30 days) after the parking period ends, in the next nightly run, usually early the following morning, for a monthly rental from the start of the rental and then every month once the rent has been received. You need a payout account and your tax details on file. Stripe then pays the money out to your bank account on your Stripe payout schedule. If a tenant disputes a payment with their bank, we hold payouts until it is resolved. If we have to claim money back from you (for example after a lost dispute), we send you a statement straight away and offset it against your payouts after 14 days at the earliest; you can object until then, and we do not offset disputed amounts.

Can I pause or stop?

You can pause or end your listing at any time; it then takes no new bookings. Times already booked stay in place. Either side can cancel a running monthly rental in the app with 28 days' notice to the end of a month.

Is there a deposit?

For a monthly rental the host may ask for a deposit; it is then shown in the listing and the contract. Sostivo does not collect or hold it, tenant and host settle it directly. Bookings of up to 30 days have no deposit.

Legal and safety

Who is my contractual partner?

You enter into the rental agreement with the host. Sostivo only brokers the booking and handles the payment through Stripe.

What is not allowed?

Storing objects, living or sleeping there, hazardous substances and subletting a booked space.

How do I report a listing?

In the listing via Report listing, in the iPhone app in the menu at the top right. We confirm receipt by email, review every report and tell you what we decided.
